Online Application for Lower Primary TET (LP TET)

Recently, Assam Sarba Siksha Abhiyan Mission has released a job notification for the post of special Lower Primary Teacher Eligibility Test (LP TET).The interested candidate can apply online who fulfill all the required eligibility criteria which is given billow clearly.

Eligibility Criteria of Assam TET 2021:

Educational Qualification: Candidate should have at least one educational qualification as listed below-

1. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
2. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
3. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2 years Diploma in Education (Special Education).
4. Graduation and two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
5. Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) obtained from any recognized institution, provided the person if so appointed as teacher will have to mandatorily undergo a six month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by NCTE within two years of such appointment as primary teacher.

Citizenship: The candidate must be a citizen of India and permanent resident of Assam.

Application Fee: 

To complete the online application process, the candidates have to pay a specific amount as application fee. Details about it are given below-

General Candidates: Rs.500/-

{SC/ ST/ OBC/MOBC/ PwD Candidates: Rs.300/-}

Unique ID: Candidates who have a valid Unique ID issued by the SSA, Assam are eligible to submit their online application.

Syllabus of Assam Special TET 2021:

The total 150 Multiple Choice Questions will be asked in Assam TET and each MCQ will contain 1 mark. The subject wise details are-

Child Development & Pedagogy 30 MCQs 30 Marks

Language-I 30 MCQs 30 Marks

Language II 30 MCQs 30 Marks

Mathematics 30 MCQs 30 Marks

Environmental Studies 30 MCQs 30 Marks

Language-I: Applicant need to choose any one language from these – Assamese, Bengali, Hindi, Bodo, Manipur, Garo, Nepali, Karbi, Hmar.

Language-II: English

Duration of Exam: 2½ hours (150 Minutes) for Paper-I. Additional 20 minutes’ time (per hour) will be there for visually impaired candidates.

Minimum Marks for qualifying in TET: A candidate is required to score at least 60% i.e. 90 marks out of 150 to qualify the Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET). However, for SC/ST (Hills)/ ST(Plain)/ OBC/MOBC/ PWD (PH), there will be relaxation of 5 %. Thus,for these candidates, qualifying score will be 55% i.e. 83 out of 150.
